  My background:

I was the associate food editor of Natural Health magazine from 1998 through 2003. While at Natural Health I wrote feature articles, developed recipes, and wrote the popular regular column "Natural Kitchen." I also researched scientific and medical publications, performed nutrient data analysis, and wrote book reviews. I made numerous television and radio appearances and held cooking demonstrations and lectures at consumer health shows.

I've been a professional editor and writer for seven years. I'm a graduate of the Radcliffe publishing program and earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Mount Holyoke College. I also have a degree in pastry arts from Johnson and Wales University and worked as a pastry chef for eight years. I live with my husband, Steve, in a house we built together in Guilford, Vermont.

Some recent work:

    • Copyedited The Cook's Illustrated Guide to Grilling and Barbecue, America's Test Kitchen Live!, Cover and Bake, and Baking Illustrated for Boston Common Press, located in Brookline, Massachusetts.
    • Edited recipes and wrote a guide to healthy vegan ingredients for The Veg-Feasting Cookbook (Book Publishing Company, 2005) for Vegetarians of Washington, a non-profit group based in Seattle.
    • Edited and wrotecontent for The Old Farmer's Almanac Favorite Recipes for Healthy Eating, a premium booklet for Yankee Publishing Incorporated, located in Dublin, New Hampshire.
