| Steve Redmond is a
journalist and technical writer with experience in aerospace, civil, mechanical,
electronic, and software engineering and quality systems. Recent work includes writing the
installation manuals and software user manuals for Altair Avionics' full line of
electronic turbojet engine trend monitoring and fuel metering systems. Altair is a
division of Pratt & Whitney, Canada and United Technologies. Past projects include writing the user manual and online help documentation for Quality Systems International's QSI-9000 Corrective Actions software module, and writing a major feasibility study for a hurricane protection plan for southern Louisiana, commisioned by the Army Corps of Engineers. Steve has 28 years of experience as a professional writer. He wrote the popular technical column "Designs" for WoodenBoat magazine for several years, and was a reporter for the Gloucester-Mathews Gazette-Journal in Mathews, Virginia. Steve's articles have appeared in Small Boat Journal and Classic Boat. Articles about him have appeared in Yankee magazine, and the Art of Living magazine. Steve writes ad copy, and produces CAD and conventional hand-drafted drawings, illustrations photographs, and artwork. He has an extensive artist's resume (available on request). Steve has designed and written HTML documents since 1994, and can code HTML by hand as well as work with most conventional web page layout and editing software. Cheryl Redmond is the
former associate food editor of Natural Health magazine. She wrote feature
articles for the magazine as well as the popular regular column "Natural
Kitchen." Recent contract work includes copyediting the book Baking Illustrated
for Boston Common Press, which publishes Cook's Illustrated magazine, and writing
a booklet on healthy eating for Old Farmer's Almanac. Cheryl has supervised photo shoots for Natural Health, written book reviews, developed recipes, researched scientific and medical publications, and performed nutrient data analysis. She has made numerous television and radio appearances and has lectured and conducted cooking demonstrations at consumer health shows. Cheryl has 7 years experience as a professional editor and writer. She is a graduate of the Radcliffe publishing program, and holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College.
